EngiNX-2017:
As you are aware, EngiNX – the Engineering Innovation contest from TCS – Engineering and Industrial Services Business Unit is back. The Internet of Things (IoT) has been termed as “the next Industrial Revolution” because of the way it is going to change the way people live, work, entertain and travel as well as how businesses interact with the world.
‘IT OT Convergence’ is the order of the day. The Real world of machines is bracing up for the seamlessly integration with IoT to facilitate real time communication and collaboration. With this background, this edition of EngiNX attempts to Identify and give solution to a real world engineering problem that can connect the ‘Sensors to the Software’ and enable efficient decisions to the end user.
The contest is open to students from any discipline. However we would like to focus on students from disciplines related to Engineering and Industrial services. Weightage will be given to multidisciplinary teams combining more than one of the following areas.
- Electronics and related disciplines – Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (EXTC), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Electrical Communication Engineering (ECE), Embedded Technology, Digital Communications, Digital Electronics, Applied Electronics, Telecommunications etc.
- Controls and related disciplines – Instrumentation and Controls, Controls, Industrial Automation etc.
- Mechanical and related disciplines – Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Production, Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace etc.
- Computer Science and related disciplines – Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering etc.,
